Gidget
Meet Gidget! she is a 1958 Glastron Fire Flight made right here in in Austin, Texas! The FireFlight was the first deluxe model offered by Glastron in 1957. Complete with fine upholstery, custom polished aluminum side spears and other pieces, a panoramic windshield, full lighting the Fireflight captured the attention of boaters nationwide. Gidget's fancy rear fins, and adorable taillights were inspired by the 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

Our Gidget reminded us of a certain TV character that made us fall in love with Sally Field. She played Gidget, a 15 year old Southern California girl who loved to surf. The show followed the wave of beach party movies that were popular in the 60’s with names like “Beach Blanket Bingo” and “How to Stuff a Wild Bikini”.

Hellllloooo Lola!!! This fancy finned boat is a 1958 Lonestar Meteor that was made in Grand Prairie, Texas. Designed by Bob Hammond, while he was working for Lone Star Boats as their head designer before leaving to start Glastron Boats. The Meteor is arguably the first fiber glass boat to showcase car-styled tailfins a popular design cue of late 1950's GM models
